Bidding for Work on the New Library Demolition/Renovation/Construction

Sealed proposals for individual bid categories for the Pinckney Community Public Library Project will be received by the Library at its current location: 350 Mower Road, Pinckney, MI 48169-9001, until 2:00 PM local time, Dec 6, 2011.

Final Site Plan Approved!

The Village Council voted to approve the Library's final site plan, pending review by the DPW. The next phase in the project will be getting all the needed permits and bidding out the work. At this time, abatement activity should be completed. All the windows have been removed from the building in preparation for demolition and renovation. Stay tuned for further developments!

Site Plan Passes First Hurdle

Last night (Nov 7th, 2011), the Pinckney Planning Commission passed a resolution recommending approval of the Library's site plan by the Village Council, with "conditions." We will, to the best of our knowledge, be on the agenda for the Council's regular meeting next Monday evening. Any interested parties are welcome to attend.

We are hoping to be able to put the various jobs out for bids very soon, so be sure to keep checking here for details and updates.

Asbestos Abatement at the Village Ed Center Building






Work began this week to remove the asbestos and other hazardous materials from the Village Education Center building, prior to demolition and renovation taking place. Above are some photos taken at the site today. Finally - something's happening! Yippee!
