PCPL Building Project News: June 2012

Wish Granted!

If you've been reading this blog since its inception, you may remember that back in December we published a "Wish List" of items that we were unable to include in the budget but would really like to include in the new building. Well - as of Monday June 18, 2012, one of our wishes has been granted! Thanks to a generous pledge from the Friends of the Pinckney Library, we WILL have a Fireplace in the casual reading corner! We couldn't be more pleased. There are still more items on the Wish List as it has had to grow due to additional costs incurred in the demolition/remodeling process. If you would like more information about how you or your group can help us enhance the new space, please call the Library at 734-878-3888 or stop by our booth at Pinckney Palooza in July. There are opportunities for "naming" - such as the "Friends Casual Reading Corner" as well as memorializing. Gifts of any size are gratefully acceptd.
